Medical Office LPN Neuro Department Position in Poughkeepsie, NY

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our Medical Office team in the Neuro Department at Nuvance Health in Poughkeepsie, NY. As a Medical Office LPN, you will play a vital role in providing primary medical care to patients under the supervision of a physician or physician assistant.
Responsibilities:
Prepares materials, supplies, and equipment for patient exams.
Obtains patient history and vital signs, including temperature, height, and weight.
Provides direct patient care, such as ear irrigation, vaccinations, and wound care.
Collects and analyzes patient specimens as directed by the physician or physician assistant.
Instructs patients and families on preventive care, medication, and test preparation.
Contacts patients by phone to provide follow-up, test results, or physician instructions.
Performs organizational responsibilities to achieve the Practice's and WCMG missions through total quality improvement.
Completes meaningful use requirements and fulfills compliance responsibilities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.
Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
Computer skills and data entry.
Skilled in obtaining accurate patient vitals.
Vaccine administration and medication preparation.
Preferred:
One year of experience.
Proficiency in multiple languages.
Phlebotomy and EKG skills.
Location:
