Respiratory Therapist

At Coffee Regional Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the acute care setting. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing diagnostic tests, and administering therapies to patients with respiratory disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests, such as arterial blood gases, sputum inductions, and pulmonary function studies, to assess patient respiratory function.
- Administer therapies, including oxygen administration, mechanical ventilation, and airway care, to patients with respiratory disorders.
- Evaluate patient response to therapy and recommend modifications to the respiratory care plan as needed.
- Participate in code blue team and perform CPR, intubation, and other life-saving interventions as required.
- Stock and maintain crash carts and other supplies, and perform equipment maintenance and cleaning according to department policy.
- Charge for all services provided and communicate clinical problems or patients requiring further evaluation to department management.
Requirements:
- Graduated from an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program.
- Credentialed (CRT, RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or board-eligible.
- Current or temporary license from the State of Georgia.
- Current CPR certification.
- 1 year experience in an acute care setting (preferred).
