Job Title: Supply Technician

The Supply Technician plays a crucial role in the efficient management of technical supply operations at Vali Incorporated. This position involves performing various tasks related to inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization. The Supply Technician expedites the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within government tracking systems, helping meet production and shipping schedules. They work closely with department supervisors to determine material requirements and overdue items, establishing delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform day-to-day routine tasks in accordance with established guidelines and receive specific guidance from the supervisor.
  • Provide customer service for all GCSS-A related activities in accordance with the GCSS-A End User Manual (EUM).
  • Perform and edit data from source documents according to internal quality control checks.
  • Create, monitor, review stock records, and other documentation for accuracy comprised of inventory, materiel control, accounting, and supply reports from GCSS-Army for Class II, III, IV, VII, and IX items.
  • Prepare and manage requests, inventories, surveys, and other warehousing documents retrieved from GCSS-Army.
  • Perform a wide variety of supply clerical duties within an automated supply system.
  • Generate GCSS-A reports as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining notifications, work orders, records of services performed, ordering and managing repair parts, dispatching vehicles and equipment, issuing material to work order, returning and recoverable/reparable material to stock, entering time confirmations for work orders, performing work order completion, and updating the operations status for a piece of equipment.
  • Follow up on all weekly transaction reports, weekly form counts, and prepares forms to be digitally sent.
  • Must perform edits based on FEDLOG codes and classes of supply as required.
  • Participate in documentation, records management, reporting, and record reconciliation activities.
  • Required to gain access to GCSS-A, IGC, FedMall, AESIP, and WEBVLIPs for parts and document research.
  • Provide logistical support to other operational and support elements as required.
  • Provide analysis and technical assistance by researching repair part availability and expedition as required.
  • Conduct and participate in scheduled and unscheduled inventories and surveys.
  • Review and validate document register reconciliations and submits daily supply activities.
  • Personnel shall possess a functional knowledge of the Army Supply system.
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of material within or between departments and/or sections in accordance with mission requirements, shipping schedules, or supervisors' priorities.
  • Create production schedules and confer with supervisors to determine and locate required or overdue material.
  • Requisition material and establishes delivery sequences to departments and/or sections.
  • Anticipate availability of material; schedules internal and external transfers of material to meet requirements schedules.
  • Apply knowledge of material, processes, and information systems to compile reports and solve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate the transportation of material from one department and/or section to another, using material-handling equipment.
  • Compile and review records to locate material using manual or computerized systems.
  • Oversee and conduct all inventories.
  • Manage receipt, control, and processing of all GCSS-A work orders.
