Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Accountant to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for performing complex accounting functions, analyzing financial data, and preparing financial reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform multifaceted accounting functions, including account/ledger analysis, cost accounting, and account reconciliations
  • Prepare month-end close, semi-annual standard cost revisions, and budget planning
  • Analyze actual vs. budget and prepare periodic financial analysis related to inventory, material cost, manufacturing overhead, production, and work order variances
  • Participate in the preparation of financial audits and develop, implement, and maintain internal financial systems and processes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
  • 5 years of related experience, with 3 years in product costing and inventory control management
  • Working knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and Sarbanes-Oxley concepts and principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong planning, organizational, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive confidential financial information and abide by the organization's business ethical standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of accounting and/or financial software applications, such as JD Edwards, OBI Reporting, and Essbase
  • Ability to enter data with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and good follow-through
  • Strong internal customer service skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
