We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Development and Alumni Affairs to join our team at Penn State Dickinson Law. As a key member of our Division of Development and Alumni Relations, you will play a critical role in engaging alumni and friends as partners in supporting our law school.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet annual goals and objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and university leaders
- Supervise and mentor a team of development and alumni relations professionals
- Collaborate with campus leadership to identify and prioritize fundraising opportunities
- Develop and execute solicitation strategies to secure major gifts
- Travel extensively to build relationships and secure funding
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Proven track record of success in securing major gifts and meeting fundraising goals
- Dedication to and understanding of the skills required to build relationships with diverse communities
- Experience in managing and leading goal-oriented teams and in planning development strategies
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
- Impeccable writing and presentation skills
