Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. As a key member of our psychiatric care team, you will provide high-quality mental health services to our patients.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a Psychiatrist who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. You will be working with a diverse range of patients, each with unique needs and circumstances.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct psychiatric care to patients, utilizing a shared decision-making approach to develop treatment plans that meet their individual needs.
  • Monitor patient response to medications and side effects, ensuring their safety and tolerability.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and other medical specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in outpatient behavioral codes and de-escalation measures, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Conduct risk assessments, manage risks, and document clinical information according to established protocols.
Requirements
  • Board eligibility or certification in Psychiatry.
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of residency training in Psychiatry from an accredited program.
  • License to practice medicine in the State of New York.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including:

  • Annual Base Salary: $142,140 (board eligible); $148,320 (board certified).
  • Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • Estimated annual total value of the compensation package: $260,354 (board eligible) and $267,152 (board certified).
