About the Job

This is a professional services position involving the psychosocial assessment and treatment of clients and patients in State agencies, facilities, and community settings.

">

Work involves performing diagnostic assessments, providing clinical input in client/staff consultations, developing psychosocial treatment plans, conducting research, and instructing students and staff. The work is performed under limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Interviews clients and assesses individual psychosocial needs to determine mental, emotional, and behavioral health status.">
  • Evaluates, diagnoses, and develops clinical treatment plans and administers appropriate therapy to help clients and patients.">
  • Testifies in court as an expert witness on patient mental health status.">
  • Plans, designs, selects, and implements crisis intervention treatment services for specified problems.">
  • Confers with other clinical and direct care staff to gather information on patient mental health status and effectiveness of treatment plans.">
  • Cools medical interventions to protect the health, safety, and well-being of others.">
  • Coordinates clinical treatment planning with professionals and community agencies to assist transitioning patients to non-clinical environments.">
  • Refers clients and patients to psychiatrists for medication review and/or assessment.">
  • Prepares documents, notes, and records to maintain ongoing clinical files.">
  • Reviews and evaluates psychological and social work research literature to maintain and enhance professional development.">
  • Attends professional meetings, seminars, and workshops to discuss and improve professional clinical skills.">
  • Consults with students and staff on methods and techniques of administering case management services.">

Benefits and Requirements

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary range of $26.76-$37.29 per hour, inclusive of a .60¢/hr institutional stipend. A Masters degree in Social Work and licensure as a Clinical Social Worker are required.
