About the Role:

The Clinical Educator will assist with the development and execution of educational programs and orientation of clinical personnel. This will involve conducting annual educational needs assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating continuing education programs, and integrating research into developing and teaching educational programs. You will work collaboratively with clinical leaders, managers, directors, and other disciplines to achieve these objectives. Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment complying with NLH policies and procedures, and reporting environmental hazards and patient safety policy violations. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct annual educational needs assessments for clinical employees in collaboration with clinical leaders and the Professional Development Council.
* Plan, implement, and evaluate continuing education programs in collaboration with managers, directors, the VP/CNO of Patient Care Services, Academic agencies, and other disciplines.
* Assist in placing nursing and medical assistant students from various universities, colleges, and training programs and facilitate their orientation and clinical preceptorship.
* Integrate research into developing and teaching educational programs, and evaluate overall program effectiveness.
* Maintain a safe environment complying with NLH policies and procedures, and report environmental hazards and patient safety policy violations.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field.
* Current RN licensure in Maine or eligible for licensure by reciprocity.
* BLS certification required.
