Pharmacist - Long Term Assignment/Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Vivo Pharmacy. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our healthcare setting.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting and dispensing medications, as well as providing patient education and counseling. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities:- Interpret and enter drug orders and patient data into our computer system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Select, prepare, and dispense drug products to fill inpatient and outpatient prescriptions, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide patient education and counseling on medication use, including potential side effects and interactions.
- Screen for drug allergies and interactions, and note contraindicated medications in patient charts.
- Review patient charts and medication records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain records and inventory of investigation drugs, controlled substances, and methadone.
- Perform related duties as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, including internship, required. PharmD preferred.
- Current license to practice Pharmacy in New York State.
- Minimum of one year related experience, preferred.
