Job Title: Senior Product Engineer

Spectra Medical Devices LLC. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Product Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of our medical devices, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of medical devices, including concept development, design verification, and design validation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and regulatory, to ensure that products meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design files, technical specifications, and user manuals.
  • Conduct feasibility testing, analyze results, and provide recommendations for product improvements.
  • Manage and facilitate customer interactions, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery of products.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies to ensure that our products remain competitive and compliant.
Requirements:
  • BS degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in product development, preferably in a medical device company.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Visio, Project, and Minitab, with experience in CAD software, such as SolidWorks.
  • Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to create clear and concise technical documentation.
Preferred Skills:
  • 8+ years of product design and development experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in an FDA-regulated environment.
  • Experience with ISO 13485, FDA QSR, and EU MDR concepts and guidelines, as well as other national and international regulations and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for client sites, tradeshows, vendors, and/or our manufacturing plant in Korea.
