Technology Project Manager

The Technology Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and facilitating the needs of technology initiatives funded through bonds.
This position acts as a vital support resource for the Technology Project Management team, ensuring effective management of project documentation, organizing meetings, and coordinating efforts to achieve successful completion of technology projects.
The Project Manager will assist the Technology Project Management team by addressing project requirements and providing essential support to ensure timely and budget-conscious project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Project Documentation: Managing project initiation forms, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Meeting Coordination: Organizing and scheduling meetings, creating agendas, and documenting meeting minutes.
- Project Execution: Collaborating with stakeholders to complete project tasks, providing regular status updates, and maintaining organized project documentation.
This role requires the ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, with varying degrees of complexity and financial implications.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Accurate documentation and reporting of all project data.
- Collaboration with the Program Management Office on IT project matters.
- Reviewing and developing IT-related contract documents to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Creating detailed technical scopes of work to support IT initiatives.
- Coordinating budget and schedule information with Asset Management.
- Tracking project status and generating management reports related to overall program delivery schedules.
- Assisting with change order evaluations in collaboration with project managers and cost estimators.
- Planning, organizing, and reporting on IT project performance, including cost and schedule metrics.
- Updating risk logs and identifying mitigation strategies.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience managing multiple IT projects within capital improvement programs.
- Proven experience coordinating diverse IT projects of varying complexities.
- Demonstrated experience in project environments and familiarity with the complete project life cycle.
- Experience in researching and validating components for complex technology projects.
- Knowledge of various technologies, including Network, Server, VoIP, CCTV, AV, Storage, and Wireless.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in technology or project management.
- Experience in developing RFQ/RFP packages.
- Background in Design-Build projects and Community College Facilities.
- Familiarity with bidding and contracting processes, particularly with public funding.
- Experience in facilitating end-user training sessions.
