Maintenance Mechanic

In a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we're seeking a skilled Forming Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Huhtamaki's De Soto Facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including production machines, conveyor systems, and equipment, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
- Inspect and diagnose issues with equipment, using visual inspections and listening techniques to identify problems.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment as needed, using hand tools and power tools, to gain access to problem areas.
- Measure and inspect parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other issues, and replace worn or defective parts as necessary.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance, with exposure to machinery, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read, understand, and comprehend written or oral instructions, technical data, blueprints, etc., and communicate effectively with others.
- Must have own tools and possess good mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot machinery.
- Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, and obtain annual certification.
Employee will work in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs., stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, crouch, push/pull, reach above shoulders, and have hand/finger dexterity required.
