Creative Solutions in Healthcare - East has an exciting opportunity for a PRN Occupational Therapist to join our team in Denton, TX.
This role will involve working with clients to support their engagement in occupations that impact their health, well-being, and quality of life. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for selecting and adapting treatment models, methods, and approaches to meet the unique needs of each client.
The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices, as well as hands-on experience with computer programs and ADL evaluation tools. Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to manage patients with different personalities are also essential for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assess clients' aspects of performance and develop interventions to support their engagement in meaningful activities.
- Select and adapt treatment models, methods, and approaches to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in daily living activities.
- Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components.
- Assess clients' home and work environments and provide recommendations for alterations to support their needs.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and train clients in its use.
- Guide and educate family members and caregivers on how to support clients in their daily lives.
- Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Excellent knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Hands-on experience with computer programs and ADL evaluation tools.
- Familiarity with assessment tools and data collection methods.
- Ability to manage patients with different personalities and adapt to changing situations.
- Professional behavior and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Valid license to practice occupational therapy.
