Respiratory Care Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Medical City Denton. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering patient-centered respiratory care, performing diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, and monitoring patients receiving mechanical ventilation.

Responsibilities- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation
- Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Neonate Resuscitation certification within 6 months of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of employment start date
- RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) registration or licensure
- Vocational School Graduate or higher

Salary RangeThe estimated salary range for this position is $62,500 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
