Job Title: House Manager

First Step Healthcare LLC is seeking a House Manager to oversee the smooth operation of a consumer's home. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the staff's work with our individuals, creating daily plans, documentation, self-care skills, cooking meals, and assisting with household tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the home in adherence to all Federal, State, and local guidelines.
  • Monitor the safety and health needs of the individuals served.
  • Orient, train, and monitor job performance of the Direct Support Provider.
  • Monitor house staff schedules and ensure equitable coverage.
  • Keep a log of call-offs.
  • Point of contact for house staff.
  • Capability to manage and perform effectively in potentially stressful situations.
  • Keep inventory of household needs such as groceries and cleaning supplies.
  • Maintain financial records (receipts) of client purchases and monitor budget (if applicable).
  • Assist clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing and addressing as assigned.
  • Completes appropriate visit records in a timely manner for quality assurance.
  • Reports changes in the client's condition and needs to the director of operations and/or staff nurse.
  • Performs household services essential to health care in the home.
  • Helps plan and coordinate client appointments.
  • Assist with shopping for groceries and preparing meals according to client dietary needs.
  • Helps clients set daily goals, outcomes, and encourages social and community engagement.
  • Assist with medication administration if applicable.
  • Helps clients to keep and maintain a safe and clean environment in the home.
  • Responsible for reporting any safety issues or concerns in the home.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • CPR & First Aid certified (provided by the company).
  • DSP certification (provided by the company).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Pass a background and drug test.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work days, evenings, overnights, and weekends based upon the needs of the designated site.
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a leadership role.
