Client: Net2Source Inc.

Role Overview:

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist will deliver EHS guidance and technical support to various facilities. This role involves planning, executing, and managing safety initiatives to align with organizational objectives. The specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective processes to identify, assess, and mitigate safety risks in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Apply knowledge of relevant local and federal safety regulations and reporting requirements.
  2. Engage with site leadership regarding safety compliance policies and practices.
  3. Facilitate site teams to create and implement specific safety protocols and procedures.
  4. Provide technical support during the Management of Change process for new projects.
  5. Lead the deployment of the electronic work permit project in collaboration with stakeholders.
  6. Establish and manage the contractor safety program to assess risks and implement controls.
  7. Design and deliver training programs to enhance safety awareness and compliance.
  8. Conduct program reviews, identify areas for improvement, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
  9. Perform internal audits to ensure adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications:


• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degrees in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related fields are preferred.


• Relevant certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are advantageous.

Experience:


• At least four years of experience in safety and industrial hygiene.


• Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and control workplace risks.


• Familiarity with EHS regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.


• Strong project management skills, with a track record of leading projects effectively.


• Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.


• Proficient in MS Office Suite, capable of creating presentations and reports.

Preferred Skills:


• Experience with EHS data management systems.


• Technical expertise in various safety and industrial hygiene domains.


• Background in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Physical Requirements:


• Ability to meet physical demands, including standing and mobility within the facility.


• Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs and wearing personal protective equipment.

Travel Requirements:


• Occasional domestic travel may be required.
