Job Summary

Giant Finishing Inc, a leading manufacturer of deburring and finishing equipment, seeks a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience working with AutoCAD and Solidworks in educational and workplace settings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for updating a vast 2D parts library into 3D Solidworks models and production drawings. Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask are essential. The individual will also be expected to develop a thorough understanding of all equipment manufactured by Giant Finishing, identify machine deficiencies, and develop solutions to improve them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update 2D parts library into 3D Solidworks models and production drawings
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all equipment manufactured by Giant Finishing
  • Identify machine deficiencies and develop solutions to improve them
  • Perform ongoing design reviews

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience working with AutoCAD and Solidworks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multitask
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Working knowledge of Solidworks to model and create production prints
