We are seeking a highly skilled Dentist to join our team at the Center for Family and Child Enrichment. As a Dentist, you will play a vital role in providing dental care to patients of all ages, with a focus on serving the medically underserved population.
Key Responsibilities- Take and evaluate complex medical histories to diagnose and provide appropriate dental treatment
- Perform physical examinations to evaluate oral health problems and develop treatment plans
- Diagnose and treat patients, including regular cleanings, and educate patients and parents on maintaining proper oral health
- Communicate with dental/clinic staff regarding patient treatment plans and prescribe medication as necessary
- Document all medications, diagnoses, treatments, and consultations, and supervise the work of dental assistants
- Order and interpret X-rays and other special examinations as needed
- Graduate from an accredited school of dentistry, DDS, DMD, or DD required, and licensed in the state
- Two years' experience beyond residency preferred, with board certification in specialty a plus
- Experience in community health and working with clients from lower economic status, with a willingness to work with medically underserved populations
