As a Vice President of Strategic Account Management, you will serve as a senior account leader overseeing Tier-1 customer accounts within our contract logistics division. Your responsibilities will include delivering comprehensive account management and sales strategies to these accounts, while expanding the company's share of their logistics expenditures and fortifying our overall partnerships. You will develop a profound understanding of the businesses we oversee at all levels—from operational to strategic—within your assigned customer base, crafting a vision that motivates clients to innovate using GXO's capabilities. Typical Responsibilities:

  1. Manage global and local accounts for a designated set of strategic global accounts based in your region.
  2. Promote and sell the full range of GXO services to your clients, aiming to increase their overall logistics expenditure with us.
  3. Oversee all facets of customer accounts concerning logistics solutions.
  4. Ensure the successful execution of customer-facing initiatives in a timely and high-quality manner.
  5. Comprehend and adeptly navigate the customers' supply chain processes while fostering relationships with key stakeholders influencing these processes.
  6. Manage service pricing and profit margins in accordance with established agreements.
  7. Collaborate with customers globally and partner with GXO personnel worldwide to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  8. Transform the client's strategic objectives into a global pursuit roadmap encapsulated in a strategic account plan that you will own and regularly update, supported by a pipeline of opportunities.
  9. Provide precise timelines and forecasts on pipeline initiatives to inform financial planning.
  10. Monitor market trends, product advancements, and competitor activities; report on market and competitive dynamics.

Qualifications for Success at GXO:

At a minimum, you will need:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent work or military experience.
  2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in selling contract logistics and distribution solutions.
  3. Proven experience in logistics sales and sales management, maintaining and expanding a portfolio of at least $25 million annually.

It would be advantageous if you also possess:

  1. An MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
  2. 15 years of experience in the sales of contract logistics and supply chain operations.
  3. Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire team members and collaborate effectively with integrity.
  5. The capability to represent the company professionally and build enduring relationships with clients across all organizational levels.
  6. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the endurance to apply them daily.
