About the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated Housekeeping Manager to join our team at KMG Hotels. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our housekeeping and laundry departments. Your primary goal will be to maintain a clean and safe environment for our guests while creating memorable experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a team of housekeeping staff to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, as well as ensure that all staff members adhere to these standards.
  • Be proficient in using brand computer software to assign room attendant boards, update room status, and utilize Fosse and Empower.
  • Ensure that PAR levels are maintained in all supplies and linen inventory, completing inventory reports and submitting supply orders as necessary.
  • Respond to all guest requests, concerns, and complaints in a courteous and attentive manner.
  • Assign room boards and other tasks to room attendants, housemen, and laundry attendants, ensuring consistency and timeliness in completing assignments.
  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure that standards and productivity levels are being met.
  • Schedule and assign weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual cleaning projects.
  • Maintain Lost and Found and Key control, ensuring that all items are properly accounted for.
  • Be proactive in identifying and resolving issues before they affect our guests.
  • Maintain professional and consistent communication with the front desk and maintenance throughout the day.
  • Maintain a discarded linen log and compare it with the monthly inventory.
  • Ensure that all daily assignments are completed and signed off on prior to leaving for the day.
  • Assist with cleaning duties as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Prior housekeeping experience as a supervisor/manager.
  • Marriott experience is strongly preferred.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and written.
  • Must be able to work on the computer and have a smartphone.
  • Flexible schedule to meet hotel demand, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for 8 hours daily, exert up to 50 pounds of force, push and pull heavy objects, and have the mobility to inspect high and low areas of the rooms and hotel.
