Material Control Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Tradesperson Class 2 in Material Control to join our team at SubCom. As a key member of our inventory management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of materials throughout our facility.
Key Responsibilities- Follow established inventory practices, including FIFO, lot/serial control, and NCM materials
- Learn and perform material issuing procedures and documentation requirements
- Accurately store, count, weigh, and inspect materials for damage
- Handle hazardous waste safely and responsibly
- Operate heavy equipment, such as forklifts and scissor lifts, to maneuver and receive materials
- Follow safety guidelines and demonstrate safe work practices
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to material handling
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two or more years of related experience and/or training preferred
- Experience with safely operating heavy equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and possess a positive communication style
- Basic computer skills, including internet, MS Office, and ERP software
