Material Control Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tradesperson Class 2 in Material Control to join our team at SubCom. As a key member of our inventory management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of materials throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow established inventory practices, including FIFO, lot/serial control, and NCM materials
  • Learn and perform material issuing procedures and documentation requirements
  • Accurately store, count, weigh, and inspect materials for damage
  • Handle hazardous waste safely and responsibly
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as forklifts and scissor lifts, to maneuver and receive materials
  • Follow safety guidelines and demonstrate safe work practices
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to material handling
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two or more years of related experience and/or training preferred
  • Experience with safely operating heavy equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and possess a positive communication style
  • Basic computer skills, including internet, MS Office, and ERP software
