As a key member of our scientific community, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our clinical laboratory, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in our testing and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage laboratory workflow, staff scheduling, and ensure timely completion of tests and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines, including CLIA/CAP.
- Provide direct supervision during high-complexity testing and maintain effective communication with the team.
- Train and evaluate laboratory personnel, troubleshoot complex problems, and maintain laboratory protocols and procedures.
- Manage inventory, coordinate maintenance, and perform laboratory testing and analysis.
- Conduct audits, report noncompliance, and participate in quality assurance and improvement efforts.
- Plan and perform assay validation, write summary reports, and conduct competency assessments.
- Implement quality control measures and review QC/QA metrics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in a related field.
- 2+ years of experience with molecular testing, next-generation sequencing experience highly desired.
- 3+ years of experience in Clinical Laboratory Science or related fields.
- Active California State license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
