Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist I Manhattan

We are seeking a highly skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist I to join our team in Manhattan. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures under the general direction of a radiologist.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MRI procedures of designated anatomical areas, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
- Review patient prescriptions and safety forms, obtaining consents as necessary and accessing patient information from the HIS/RIS system in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Position patients and MRI equipment appropriately to ensure maximum information is obtained, following accepted MRI procedures and protocols.
- Solve problems that arise during patient examinations, using technical knowledge and innovation to alter examinations as needed.
- Assist physicians as required during procedures and maintain a clean and organized radiographic area.
- Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services.
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License within 180 days of hire.
- ARRT Advanced Certification in MRI required within one year of hire or transfer.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
