Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist I Manhattan

We are seeking a highly skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist I to join our team in Manhattan. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures under the general direction of a radiologist.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MRI procedures on patients, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
- Review patient prescriptions and safety forms, obtaining consents as necessary.
- Access patient information from the hospital information system (HIS) and radiology information system (RIS).
- Document patient information, including begin, complete, and departure times, in the RIS.
- Maintain departmental log books and record machine performance data.
- Assist physicians during procedures and provide patient care.
- Perform quality control checks on radiographic equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Technical Diploma in Radiology or Imaging Services from an AMA-approved school.
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License within 180 days of hire.
- Advanced Certification in MRI from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within one year of hire.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
