Position Title: Business Solutions Architect Lead

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading capture processes utilizing BPMN, pinpointing areas for enhancement, and comprehending intricate business and IT solutions. This role requires collaboration with stakeholder teams across both business and technical sectors to create documentation and produce artifacts suitable for diverse audiences. The candidate will leverage enterprise architecture tools and methodologies to fulfill project objectives, facilitate requirements gathering sessions with various business units, and provide operational support for Enterprise Architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary delivery lead for engagements.
  • Gain insight into the overall client strategy and your role's contribution to it.
  • Create tools and frameworks to aid alignment and decision-making with clients.
  • Design and architect project strategies and solutions to meet client objectives.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of the client's business and technical landscape.
  • Guide client discussions to foster clarity and resolution.
  • Document and analyze client processes and requirements, identify gaps, and contribute to deliverables.
  • Engage in client discussions to gather essential information and insights.
  • Conduct business analysis to capture client priorities and challenges.
  • Analyze client data to identify priorities, challenges, opportunities, and develop actionable insights.
  • Create future state business models to support project initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with clients.
  • Translate client needs into business requirements, use cases, and systems interaction diagrams.
  • Demonstrate project implementation proficiency using project management tools.
  • Apply best practices to design and implement future state business models.
  • Utilize collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Confluence, JIRA, etc.
  • Anticipate client needs to provide timely support.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Foster client relationships through proactive account management.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge capital and offerings development.
  • Understand the sales cycle and engage in proposal activities.
  • Leverage expertise to identify and support new opportunities.
  • Develop strategic relationship plans to enhance current and prospective accounts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in developing enterprise architectures.
  • At least three (3) years of experience on Federal Government Enterprise architecture projects.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in modern software development methodologies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of databases and data access.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Department of Treasury or other Federal Agencies.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) accredited by PMBOK/PMI.
  • Local to DC is a plus.

Special Skills/Knowledge/Training:

  • Enterprise Architecture certification, such as Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF), is preferred.
