Job Summary

The Operations Processing Specialist - AR Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the designated department(s) by providing exceptional customer service, accurate document production, and timely communication to key parties. This role is essential for daily processing operations as it relates to the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, and provide general office support as needed.
  • Handle all requests from functional areas in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to established service standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to obtain and provide information, improve processes, and enhance the policyholder's experience.
  • Timely and accurately create and submit regulatory reporting required by operational function.
  • Maintain data integrity in source systems and ensure accurate documentation distribution to policyholders and internal business partners.
  • Provide reception, phone, and desk coverage as needed.
  • Participate in audit schedules by internal or external partners, producing files, documents, and responding to questions.
  • May participate in new and upgrade installation for all systems that impact functional areas, including building business requirements, test cases, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or minimum of 2 years of operational experience.
  • 1-2 years of insurance or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems applications.
  • Preferred experience in legal, claim, underwriting, accounting with P&C Insurance, or medical environment.
  • Ability to evaluate and properly handle confidential information.
  • Ability to produce high-quality outcomes in a highly productive environment.
  • Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
  • Good organizational, customer service, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work in a flexible environment to support the MagMutual mission of 'working together' to get the job done.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships within various departments.
  • Ability to use critical thinking in processing work and resolving problems.
