This position is responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for children at Florida National University's Little Angels Children Development Center. Key Responsibilities- Classroom Management: Develop and implement lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth in children.
- Teaching and Supervision: Provide instruction and guidance to children, while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and exercise their imagination.
- Communication: Maintain open and ongoing communication with parents and caregivers, including regular progress updates and parent-teacher conferences.
- Record Keeping: Accurately maintain daily records of meal, playground, and attendance activities, as well as health checks and incident reports.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Education: High School diploma required; 1 year of experience as a Teacher at a Child Care Center or related facility/school preferred.
- Certifications: CPR/AED and First Aid (Pediatric) certifications required; CDA Certificate (national) accepted.
- Training: 45 hours of Child Care Training (mandated by DCF) required.
- Skills: Excellent communication and people skills; ability to juggle multiple duties; flexible and energetic on the job.
