Job Summary

We are seeking a Surgical Tech to join our team to ensure the provision of safe and effective nursing care in the operating room. As a key member of our staff, you will contribute to maintaining a clean and efficient environment, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly prepared for each case.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in surgical technology and be able to work effectively under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Your attention to detail, ability to multitask, and excellent communication skills will make you a valuable asset to our team.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing the operative suite for surgery by checking and gathering supplies, equipment, and instruments.
  • Maintain surgical asepsis in the handling of instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles, and dressings.
  • Assist in the turnover of the O.R. suites between cases, disposing of trash and linens, and cleaning of equipment and environmental surfaces.
  • Prepare procedure room for use the following day by bringing in equipment, setting up, 'pulling cases' accurately, and reporting to supervisor items that are needed and not available.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • One year experience in an operating room setting (preferably in an ambulatory surgery center).
  • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment.
