Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Tech to join our team. As a key member of our operating room staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgeons in delivering high-quality medical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of the operative suite for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Maintain surgical asepsis by handling instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles, and dressings with precision.
- Collaborate with the Registered Nurse in clinical decision making and provide direct patient care and observation as needed.
- Contribute to the turnover of O.R. suites between cases, disposing of trash and linens, and cleaning of equipment and environmental surfaces.
- Prepare procedure rooms for use the following day by bringing in equipment, setting up, and reporting any missing items to your supervisor.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an accredited Surgical Technology program (preferred).
- One year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
- A valid BCLS Certification upon employment.
