Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center is seeking dedicated Full-Time and Part-Time Dietary Utility Aides for Day and Evening shifts.

The utility team plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through both manual and machine cleaning techniques. Additionally, utility staff are tasked with ensuring the dishwashing and main kitchen areas are kept clean and safe. Responsibilities also include assisting in food preparation and serving, while upholding clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas under the guidance of the Dietary Director.

Key Responsibilities:

· Meet the physical and sensory requirements outlined below, and be capable of working in the specified environment.

· Engage in process improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction, streamline workflow, and/or improve the work environment.

· Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into the dish machine.

· Wash and sanitize all pots, utensils, and dishes.

· Clean, sanitize, and maintain the dish machine.

· Unload dishes and utensils from the dish machine and organize them to ensure proper drying.

· Regularly empty trash containers.

· Maintain a tidy work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as necessary.

· Perform additional cleaning tasks as requested.

· Clean and maintain food preparation stations and equipment as assigned.

· Assist the Dietary Aide position as needed.

· Help in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks as required.

· Stock and store food items from deliveries, as assigned.

· Report hazardous conditions, equipment issues, accidents, and incidents as necessary.

· Undertake other special projects and duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent related work experience.

· Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility dietary department is preferred.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.

· Maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.

· Customer service-oriented with the ability to perform well under pressure.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy, along with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

Physical Requirements:

· Lift up to 25 lbs: Constantly / Lift 26 to 50 lbs: Occasionally.

· Carry up to 10 lbs: Constantly / Carry up to 11 to 25 lbs: Frequently.

· Reach above and below shoulder height.
