Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical and nursing care to patients and families, including preventive and supportive health services.
  • Manage health problems and coordinate healthcare for various patient populations, identifying and diagnosing illnesses and physical conditions, and implementing therapeutic and corrective measures.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community-based organizations and make referrals to consulting physicians and/or other healthcare professionals and community agencies, as necessary.
  • Evaluate and interpret patient data, planning and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Consult with physicians and other healthcare practitioners in the evaluation of health screening findings to make prospective decisions about treatment that will best support improved outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse issued by the New York State Department of Education (NYSED).
  • Current certificate as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the NYSED.
  • Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strongly prefer National Board Certification in specialty in which you are assigned.
