Role Summary: The Electrical & Software Engineering Manager will oversee a talented team of engineers through the medical product design process. This role emphasizes innovation, team development, and engagement within the Research & Development sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical decision-making processes, ensuring compliance with established quality metrics and thorough investigation of issues.
- Support and manage new product development initiatives and product modifications post-launch.
- Provide mentorship and leadership within the Engineering Department, fostering individual and organizational growth.
- Conduct performance management activities, including objective setting, reviews, and coaching for professional development.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, with a focus on electrical and software development.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in managing teams or directing activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%, including domestic and international locations.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in the medical device industry, particularly with PMA or 510k submissions.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) or similar regulated environments.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical and software engineering principles, including circuit design and programming.
- Experience with embedded systems and firmware development.
Work Environment: This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a combination of onsite and remote work. Danaher Corporation values flexible working arrangements to support a sustainable workforce.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 annually, with eligibility for bonus and incentive pay. A comprehensive benefits package is also provided, including paid time off and medical insurance.
