Qualifications / Certifications

Completion of an accredited Nursing program as a Registered Nurse. Possession of a valid and current state-specific RN license.

Role Summary

The Lead Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the medical, psychiatric, substance use, and nursing care provided to individuals in our care. This role also includes supervising unit staff in clinical operations, which encompasses Registered Nurses, Behavioral Health Technicians, Peer Support Specialists, and Milieu Specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversees nursing services during assigned shifts, including patient assignments and ensuring safety within the facility.
  • Collaborates with leadership to ensure nursing care delivery complies with licensing regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Manages medical and nursing supplies and equipment, ensuring their safety and effectiveness.
  • Facilitates the completion of assessments for all individuals admitted to the facility, developing recovery plans in partnership with them.
  • Provides treatment and makes referrals in consultation with the clinical team.
  • Supervises and/or delivers nursing treatment and monitoring.
  • Administers medications as per established protocols.
  • Monitors special dietary needs as required.
  • Initiates and/or ensures appropriate responses to medical emergencies in line with medical protocols and policies.
  • Completes necessary clinical documentation.
  • Adheres to RI International compliance standards as outlined in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
  • Stays informed of all federal and state regulations and RI International policies as they evolve.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid and current state-specific RN license.

  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing program as a Registered Nurse; a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality (in accordance with HIPAA guidelines) and professionalism.
