Job Overview:
The Nursing Assistant will engage directly with students, providing essential support with personal care and daily living activities.
We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and proactive individual to serve as a crucial link between our students and the educational staff.

- Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting and daily living skills.
- Document daily activities and observations in student records.
- Support teachers and other staff as required.
- Maintain professional standards, adhere to policies and procedures, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team and manage multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, particularly in conveying sensitive information.
- Demonstrate resilience under pressure and effectively manage critical situations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or necessary.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with relevant federal, state, county, and city regulations, rules, policies, and procedures.
- Understanding of applicable grants management.
- Awareness of Peoria Unified School District policies and departmental procedures.
- Knowledge of medical office protocols.
- Understanding of confidentiality principles regarding medical records and database management.
- Proficiency in customer service practices.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply relevant regulations and policies.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and the community.
- Proficiency in using personal computers and various software applications.
- Capability to assess, monitor, and provide First Aid and emergency treatments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of a state-approved CNA certification training program, a High School Diploma or GED, and two (2) years of experience in a medical office, nursing assistance, or a closely related field.
Other Requirements:
- Must successfully pass a fingerprint and background check.
- May be required to work outside standard working hours.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license at the time of application.
- Must obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR, and other relevant certifications within one year of hire.
- May encounter infectious diseases, hazardous materials, and fumes.
- May need to lift and/or carry heavy supplies and materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
