Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately post and reconcile patient payments and adjustments within our billing platform.
  • Skillfully assign payments and adjustments to the appropriate patient accounts.
  • Detect and resolve posting discrepancies and billing challenges to facilitate effective problem-solving.
  • Examine Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and remittance advice to uncover payment inconsistencies.
  • Take immediate and suitable actions to correct any identified issues.
  • Continuously monitor and reconcile accounts receivable (AR) to ensure accuracy.
  • Guarantee timely and precise payment posting to uphold financial integrity.
  • Engage with insurance providers and stakeholders to resolve payment and reimbursement matters.
  • Remain informed about billing regulations and payer policies to maintain compliance in payment processing.
  • Provide insights and analyses of performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for enhancement.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in healthcare administration is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of medical billing, coding practices, and reimbursement processes.
  • Proficient in payment posting and reconciliation using billing software; familiarity with EOBs is essential.
  • Strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years in medical payment posting is preferred.
