Job Title: Counter Attendant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Counter Attendant to join our team at Sant Ambroeus Southampton. As a Counter Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and Serve Guests: Greet guests who approach the counter, display, and walk into the café, and provide them with requested items in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Answer Guest Questions: Respond to guest inquiries related to products and displayed items, ensuring accurate and helpful information is provided.
  • Process Transactions: Accurately ring in items on checks, handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Stock and Maintain Displays: Restock items in the display, maintain correct pars, and ensure the appearance of the counter and display is maintained throughout the hours of operation.
  • Follow Closing Procedures: Complete the closing counter checklist prior to departure and perform the cash drawer checkout after each shift.
  • Maintain a Clean Workspace: Accurately maintain the organization and cleanliness of the counter in accordance with Health Department standards.

Requirements:

  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively with colleagues and management, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Basic Food Handling Skills: Basic food handling, preparation, and cleaning skills are welcomed.
  • English Language Proficiency: Ability to communicate and understand direction in English to ensure safety in the workplace.
  • Time Management and Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure, manage high volume of production, and adapt to changing situations.
