Job Summary

The University of Southern Mississippi School of Music seeks highly qualified musicians to supplement our musical activities. As a comprehensive music program, we provide high-quality experiences for students and community members through various musical activities. Occasionally, we need to hire musicians, directors, conductors, technicians, creative staff, and lecturers from various specialty areas to support our programs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Perform with Professionalism: Deliver high-quality performances that meet the expectations of our audience.
  2. Concert Dress and Instrument: Wear appropriate concert attire and provide a professional-quality instrument in good working condition.
  3. Follow Directions: Adhere to the conductor's instructions and follow all performance directions.
  4. Pre-Performance Preparation: Be present at least 10 minutes before all scheduled services to ensure a smooth start.
  5. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
Minimum Qualifications

Professional-level performance, conducting, or technical theatre skill level, as determined by the Director.
