Nursing Attendant-Centralized Nursing Service-Evening Shift Position

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Attendant to join our Centralized Nursing Service team in an evening shift role. The successful candidate will assist in implementing the nursing process by providing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients, including orienting patients to the hospital environment and providing toileting supplies.
- Assist patients with dressing, packing personal belongings, and escorting them as necessary.
- Provide basic hygiene to patients, including bathing, AM/PM care, mouth care, denture care, hair care, nail and foot care, and shaving.
- Prepare patients for meals, including correctly positioning them for eating and tube feedings.
- Collect specimens as directed by the RN and inform the RN of any audible clinical alarms.
- Assist with moving, lifting, positioning, and transporting patients.
- Change linens in accordance with policy and as necessary.
- Take and electronically record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, pulse oximetry, and respiration per care level standard and as directed by the RN.
- Report abnormalities to the RN.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant program or minimum 6 months relevant experience.
- BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required upon entry to the position.
Working knowledge of English is evident in verbal, reading, and writing abilities; other language an asset. Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
