Tower Crane Operator Journeyman

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Tower Crane Operator Journeyman to join our team at Bechtel Corporation. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for safely operating tower cranes to lift and move heavy materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe load hook up and determine safety of load
  • Manipulate crane control to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement
  • Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanism
  • Inspect crane for defective parts and notify supervisor of defects or malfunctions
  • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation
  • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment
  • Safely operate crane, hoist mechanism, tools, and materials
  • Assist in assembly and disassembly of cranes
  • Plan and coordinate crane movement and set-up
  • Adhere to all safety procedures

Requirements:

  • NCCER and/or NCCCO assessments for applicable crane operation
  • Minimum of 48 months industrial construction experience
