Radiology Imaging Specialist

At Northwell Health, we are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated body parts.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient information and radiograph results.
- Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate pre-testing anxiety and ensure a positive experience.
- Position patients for radiographs according to departmental standard operating procedures.
- Recognize and report any patient motor abnormalities or adverse reactions to the Radiologist.
- Utilize film markers and ensure images are properly labeled and archived.
- Key in patient history data and other relevant information obtained from requisitions.
- Arrange, attach, or adjust immobilization and supportive devices for patients as needed.
- Vocational or technical school diploma required.
- Current license to practice as a Radiologist in New York State and current ARRT Radiology registration required.
- 1-3 years of technical experience in a related field.
The salary range for this position is $58.8/hour. Northwell Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
