Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Parent Family Community Engagement (PFCE) Manager, the Community Engagement and Family Support Coordinator will oversee the execution of the Family and Community Engagement service area in alignment with established performance standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with performance standards and effectively implement the Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Framework.
  • Collaborate with families and various social service organizations to advocate for community issues impacting family well-being.
  • Monitor and evaluate PFCE activities to ensure program adherence, including:
    • Identifying family needs
    • Creating Family Partnership Agreements
    • Setting goals
    • Developing resources
    • Providing referrals and follow-up support
    • Offering emergency assistance and crisis intervention
    • Conducting home visits
    • Establishing Community Partnership Agreements
    • Forming the Policy Council and Parent Advisory Committees
    • Recruiting Family Services Staff
    • Managing budgets and documentation
    • Facilitating professional development
    • Creating a Parent Curriculum
    • Maintaining a Parent Training Calendar
    • Coordinating volunteers
    • Ensuring data integrity
  • Work with Center Leadership to organize and oversee Parent Engagement events and resources.
  • Review and update the Community Assessment regularly.
  • Build and sustain professional relationships with community partners to facilitate training on relevant topics.
  • Identify new collaboration opportunities and community resources.
  • Establish effective communication systems to ensure timely information dissemination.
  • Prepare and distribute required reports, including outcome measures that reflect the impact on families and the community.
  • Develop processes for follow-up on parent engagement and educational matters.
  • Provide written reports to Center Managers and Supervisors following site visits.
  • Offer technical assistance to Center Staff and Partners to address identified issues.
  • Oversee record-keeping systems and ensure confidentiality of family files.
  • Engage and maintain an active Policy Council and Parent Committees.
  • Collaborate on service area Work Plans with Early Childhood Development teams.
  • Monitor program Work Plans and develop monthly activity schedules.
  • Support recruitment initiatives across the agency.
  • Coordinate recruitment for children with disabilities in partnership with relevant specialists.
  • Develop Community Partnership Agreements to enhance family outreach and address unmet needs.
  • Create strategies for engaging eligible children and families.
  • Manage volunteer recruitment and track in-kind contributions.
  • Participate in the agency's Self-Assessment process.
  • Provide ongoing professional development and technical assistance to Family Service Staff.
  • Implement a monitoring system that includes:
    • Conducting file reviews
    • Supporting data entry procedures
    • Identifying areas for improvement
    • Providing training and technical assistance for Family Service Assistants
    • Generating monitoring reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in social, human, or family services.
  • Strong skills in conflict resolution, communication, and group facilitation.
  • Proficient understanding of social work principles, referral systems, and community advocacy.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform tasks involving sitting, bending, standing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Employment Requirements:
Must pass a pre-employment background check and be legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
