Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Agile Scrum team in Rome, NY. As a key member of our team, you will develop and maintain industry-leading guarding solutions deployed worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in daily Agile Scrum development team environment and ceremonies
  • Develop software for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system using security enhancements, containers, and cloud technologies
  • Analyze commercial and government data specifications
  • Develop primarily in Java, C, and C++
  • Integrate third-party applications and capabilities
  • Use Gitlab and other Agile development tools
  • Interface with testers, fielding engineers, and customers
Qualifications
  • BS degree in science, math, or engineering with 0-2 years of work experience
  • Ability to function well in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Java, C, C++, shell scripting, XML, Gitlab, VMWare, Eclipse, and Linux
  • Familiarity with the full software engineering lifecycle
  • Understanding of good coding principles and practices
  • Container-based development experience using Kubernetes, Podman, Gitlab CI, and bash or equivalent
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and quality orientation
  • Must possess and maintain a current SECRET clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience with a BS degree
  • Knowledge of Agile development processes
  • Design and implementation experience using object-oriented principles and patterns
  • Experience with relevant software engineering tools
  • Exposure to Security Enhanced Red Hat Linux
  • Additional programming language experience
  • Working knowledge of secure coding practices and processes
  • Understanding of public-key cryptography
Compensation and Benefits

Arcfield offers a competitive compensation package, including a projected salary range of $54,851.80 to $95,376.64.
