We are currently seeking a part-time Psychologist for 25 hours per week.
**There is potential for an increase in hours, which may lead to full-time employment.**
The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct psychoeducational assessments.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting intake sessions with parents
- Performing two-day evaluations
- Observing classrooms as needed
- Attending school meetings upon request
- Preparing written reports
- Providing oral feedback to parents
- Delivering oral feedback to children as appropriate
- Conducting follow-ups as necessary
- Occasionally presenting talks to schools and community groups
- Establishing a presence in the community as a JF&CS psychologist
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Licensed Ph.D. or Psy.D. level clinical psychologist
- Experience in psychological testing, particularly with children
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport with both parents and children
- Professionalism, accuracy in scoring, and timely report writing
The physical requirements for this position include:
- Regularly sitting for extended periods
- Frequently using hands for tasks such as handling objects
- Occasionally standing, walking, and reaching
- Specific vision abilities including close vision and the ability to adjust focus
The work environment is typically quiet, allowing for focused evaluations and assessments.
Education and ExperienceApplicants should possess:
- A doctorate in clinical psychology
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations
- Experience working with diverse populations, particularly children, adolescents, and families
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work autonomously
- An interest in or experience with the Jewish community
