Emory University is seeking a Clinical Health Psychologist to join its Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The successful candidate will provide brief assessments, consults, and psychotherapy for adults with medical and psychological concerns. The psychologist should have experience in treating psychological conditions such as anxiety and depression and assisting in the behavioral and psychosocial management of a range of medical diseases. The position will involve working in the Paul W. Seavey Comprehensive Internal Medicine Clinic and potentially other general medical clinics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical health psychology and integrated care with medically ill populations. A doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited graduate program, an APA accredited internship, and at least one-year supervised postdoctoral training are required. Board certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology is also required within 7 years of starting this faculty position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide brief assessments, consults, and psychotherapy for adults with medical and psychological concerns
  • Assist in the behavioral and psychosocial management of a range of medical diseases
  • Work in the Paul W. Seavey Comprehensive Internal Medicine Clinic and potentially other general medical clinics
  • Teach and supervise trainees

Requirements:

  • Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited graduate program
  • APA accredited internship
  • At least one-year supervised postdoctoral training
  • Licensed or license eligible in Georgia
  • Board certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology within 7 years of starting this faculty position
