Job Title: Health Educator Specialist

United Way of New York City is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Educator Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing health education and training programs for our funded programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health education and training programs for our funded programs.
  • Collaborate with program staff to identify health education needs and develop strategies to address them.
  • Design and distribute health education materials and aids, including pamphlets, notices, video, and posters.
  • Provide staff, communities, and stakeholders with access to health education resources.
  • Facilitate health education trainings, events, workshops, conferences, and presentations.
  • Promote health education initiatives via press releases, media campaigns, social media platforms, and websites.
  • Identify strategic partnerships with organizations and stakeholders that promote health education.
  • Conduct assessments and surveys to determine health education needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in public health or related field.
  • At least two years of related experience in health education.
  • Written and verbal communication skills to develop health education materials.
  • Ability to facilitate material to an audience or for proposals.
  • Organizational and instructional skills to speak in public.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data within the communities we serve.

Salary Range: $58,500 - $77,798

Additional Requirements:

  • Background check.
  • UWNYC is presently on a Hybrid/In-Person work schedule.
