Product Owner - Banking and Financial Services

Diamondpick is seeking a highly experienced Product Owner to lead our Banking and Financial Services team. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the product roadmap in collaboration with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with the Product Manager / Strategist to translate business, user, experience, and technology requirements into understandable and actionable backlog.
  • Define, prioritize, and manage the product roadmap in collaboration with the client Product owner.
  • Document the requirements and groom them with the scrum teams and participate in the solution discussions and support the team in successful delivery of the program by providing subject matter expertise.
  • Clearly communicate business priorities to partners in tech, design, and controls.
  • Translate complex business needs into technical solution requirements and interact with the Software developers, architects, and other technical team members to build the payment systems.
  • Work through System Integrated Testing (SIT) and API Testing to validate end-to-end system functionality using software tools.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions using software programming languages.
  • Support management of the product roadmap and drive prioritization of features while balancing customer and business impacts.
  • Support product development by working with Engineering and Design to drive team ceremonies, such as refinement, sprint planning, and product reviews.
  • Leverage data to understand user behavior and shape your product roadmap.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 - 7 years of Product Owner experience in Banking & Financial services.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner in the B2B payments industry, with a strong understanding of RTP, ACH, and FedNow systems.
  • Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Zelle or other real-time payment systems.
  • Familiarity with payment hub integration with other backend systems for payment processing.
  • Translate complex business needs into technical solution requirements and interact with the Software developers, architects, and other technical team members to build the payment systems.
  • Having solid understanding of software development practices, system design & architecture, API development, cloud and database concepts, and ability to analyze software code.
  • Experienced in System Integrated Testing (SIT) and API Testing.
  • Experienced in data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions using software programming languages.
