Active Transportation Engineer

BCC Engineering, a leading ENR Top 500 Design Firm, offers integrated engineering services for public and private sector clients. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to impact exciting projects in the field. We are currently seeking an Active Transportation Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, analyze, and prepare shared-use path, trail, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities using AASHTO, DOT, and/or local jurisdiction criteria.
- Develop 3D models of shared-use paths, trails, bicycle, and pedestrian facilities using Corridor Modeling in GEOPAK, Open Roads, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Approach tasks with an open mindset and propose innovative solutions to design problems.
- Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review.
- May assign, track, and review tasks of technicians or designers.
- Potential to serve as the Engineer-of-Record on assigned engineering tasks.
- Responsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members, internal design groups, and external entities.
- Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings.
- Adhere to company marketing requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports.
- Take ownership of personal career development.
- Contribute to the development of other team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE).
- 4+ years of experience.
