Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Orthopedic Department as a Nurse Coordinator. This is a full-time position working 5 8-hour shifts with call 7 days per month, including a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
About the Role
As a Nurse Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, collaborating with the medical staff and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient outcomes. You will also be responsible for supervising and delegating duties to ancillary personnel, assessing and evaluating the organization of supplies and equipment, and contributing to policy development and updates.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to a group of assigned patients within the hospital
- Collaborate with the medical staff and other members of the healthcare team to provide quality patient care
- Supervise and delegate duties to ancillary personnel
- Assess and evaluate the organization of supplies and equipment
- Contribute to policy development and updates
- Participate in environmental rounding to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Monitor quality improvement projects and indicators for the department
- Assist with promoting staff development and assessing educational needs
Requirements
- Current state RN license
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
- ACLS and PALS certification within six months of hire
- One year of experience preferred
- ASLS certification preferred
