Job Summary

ASRC Federal Communications is seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Specialist to join our team in supporting our Air Force customer. This rotational position offers a unique opportunity to work on Wake Island, a remote location with a distinct set of challenges and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Water Treatment Equipment: Ensure the efficient and effective operation of water treatment equipment to produce high-quality drinking water and industrial water.
  • Manage Water Quality: Monitor and control the quality of water throughout the treatment process, including testing for chlorine residual, acidity, color, and impurities.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain equipment, including reverse osmosis filters, pumps, and valves, to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Record and Analyze Data: Accurately record and analyze data related to water quality, treatment processes, and equipment performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Supervise and Coordinate: Oversee the work of water and wastewater operatives, ensuring compliance with corporate safety policies and federal, state, and contract-specific regulations.
  • Inventory and Requisition Supplies: Manage inventory levels and requisition necessary supplies to maintain effective operation of the water and wastewater area.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Current State Certified Water Treatment Plant Operator in one of fifty States.
  • Experience: Five (5) years of previous relevant experience in managing a water and wastewater operation.
  • License: Current valid state-issued driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Physical and Medical Requirements: Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
  • Language Skills: Ability to speak, read, and write English.
