Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Manage Wastewater Treatment Operations: Oversee the daily activities of our wastewater treatment department, ensuring that all operations are conducted in accordance with sound operating principles and company policies.
  • Lead and Develop Team Members: Supervise, evaluate, and direct personnel on shift in performing operations, providing guidance and training to ensure maximum safety, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Manage Maintenance and Operations: Effectively manage maintenance and operations in the wastewater department, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are properly maintained and operated.
  • Coordinate with External Partners: Interface with the city wastewater treatment plant supervisors on a daily basis, ensuring that all operations are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Order Supplies and Parts: Order supplies and parts needed to operate the wastewater treatment department, including chemicals.
  • Perform Other Duties as Needed: Perform other various duties as needed or as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Wastewater Treatment Experience: Must possess wastewater treatment experience and understand analytical numbers.
  • Licensure: Must be able to obtain a wastewater license within a year.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Possess strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively interface with team members and external partners.
  • Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills, with the ability to use software applications related to wastewater treatment operations.
  • Physical Demands: Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with heavy lifting required and the ability to work in both hot and cold temperatures.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent required.
